The Library has also acquired a copy of ‘The Ringing World Index 1911-2003’. This Index, covering the content of The Ringing World from its beginning up to 2003, has been collated by Alan F. Ellis, and issued by him in a handsomely printed format in 2004; it is shelved with the bound volumes of The Ringing World in the Library.
Also bound into Volume 1 of The Ringing World are issues of ‘The Bellringer and General Church News’, issued monthly from No. l dated 5/1/07 to 1/6/07. The Ringing World issue 4662, 1st September 2000, Page 873, ‘A Copyright Notice’, confirms that this publication appeared only between the dates mentioned above.
The Library holds a complete set of Guild reports with the exception of the first quinquennial report, 1890-1895 which it holds only as a photocopy. It is thought that only one copy of this early report survives which is now lodged in the Chester Record Office. The Librarian would be delighted to hear from anyone in possession of a further copy. Similarly the library would like to obtain the missing reports from the Bowdon, Stockport & Mottram branch.
Annual Reports. The library holds a complete set of annual reports from No. l, 1906 to the present day.
